A highly ornate decorative French 18th Century Girondelle Mirror.
It is an exact replica of one that I photographed in a customers house. The details are as close to the original as possible and the size is reduced to 12th scale but could be used for 24th scale.
The mirror with the candle sticks is made from alloy metal (not resin as shown in the photo) and is fairly easy to assemble using superglue.
4.2cm wide x 7.5cm high The acrylic mirror is a tight fit and the edges may need a little cutting or sanding.
Ideal above a small Console table or fireplace.
Every detail has been copied and the kit allows you plenty of scope to reproduce to the original which was wood and gilt or be more adventurous and paint it in colours of your choice such as gilt and black or cream and black.
The mirror supplied is plastic and has a protective film that when removed reveals a bright relective surface. To glue the mirror into position use a small amount of super glue and glue into place making sure that you do not add so much glue that it seeps from under the rame onto the visible part of the mirror. An alternive and easier method is to back the mirror with paper and allow the edges of the paper to overhang the mirror so that they can be glued down onto the rear frame of the mirror.
